Dr Jockers Comments:
Liquid nutrition is a PERFECT way to start your day. It is highly bioavailable and easy for the body to fully assimilate the nutrients. It is also minimally stressful on the digestive system. This is very important for helping the gut lining heal, the pancreas to replenish the vital digestive enzyme stores and the liver and gallbladder to relax and reset.
The combination of coconut and chocolate is a match made in heaven. Coconut provides medium chain fatty acids that metabolize quickly in the body and help reinforce the use of ketones as an energy source. This is key for blood sugar stabilization and healthy hormonal and brain function.
Also called cacao this superfood is loaded with dopamine boosting nutrients. It is one of the best sources of PEA’s which are natural compounds that cross over the blood brain barrier and stimulate and modulate the release of dopamine in the brain. Cacao is also very rich in magnesium and zinc and chromium which help to balance and stabilize blood sugar.
Cacao also helps to boost serotonin and contains endorphin Anandamide which is considered the “bliss chemical.” This combination of ingredients makes raw chocolate the best mood boosting superfood.
Cinnamon helps enhance blood sugar sensitivity and so it counteracts the sugar you get from the ½ ripe banana. This recipe tastes absolutely amazing!
