Dr Jockers Comments:
This is one of our favorite family snacks. It is loaded with clean protein, good fats, anti-oxidants and fiber for a perfect snack or meal replacement. The ingredients in here will help you reduce inflammation, balance your hormones, burn fat and build lean body tissue.
Coconut fats are rich in medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) that help to form ketones. We use stevia as our sweetener, which is 100 times stronger than sugar and has no effect on your blood sugar. I enjoy using our Gut Healing Protein with this as it is full of powerful anti-inflammatory compounds and is a hypoallergenic pea protein base.
Once you are finished making this, you want to put it in the refrigerator and the coconut butter hardens, forming a sort of donut glaze that tastes so good!
