Ingredients:
2 tbsp. grass-fed butter
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup organic heavy cream or dairy-free coconut heavy cream
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Sea salt and pepper to taste
Fresh chopped parsley, to garnish
1 (or more) tsp butter (for cooking burgers)
Instructions:
For the sauce:
Step 1: In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter with olive oil on medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender.
Step 2: Add heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard and stir to combine. Add salt and pepper to taste and stir gently until sauce begins to thicken (3–5 mins).
Step 3: While sauce is thickening, start with your burgers. Add 1 tsp butter to skillet and add burgers. On medium heat, cook for 3–5 mins on each side to keep them juicy.
Step 4: Pour the mushroom sauce over the burgers once they have been cooked. Garnish with fresh parsley and it's ready to serve.

Special Notes:
The sauce is pretty thick, so if you want a thinner sauce you can all a little bone broth and stir until it becomes a little thinner. Kettle & Fire is my favorite bone broth to use with this recipe.
If you are using higher fat burgers, drain some of the grease before pouring the sauce over. The mushroom sauce would also be great to try on steak. Feel free to use the organic heavy cream or the non-dairy coconut based cream if you don’t tolerate dairy well.
Depending on how thick your burger patties are, cook on medium heat for 3-5 minutes on each side to keep them extra juicy instead of flipping them over every one to two minutes.

Dr Jockers Comments:
This keto burger recipe tastes amazing and is full of fat burning, immune supportive nutrients that you will love. If you are looking for a tasty and healthy main course, try this recipe out!
Grass-fed beef provides great protein and healthy fats such as omega 3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid to rev up metabolism. Mushrooms have beta glucan polysaccharides that help to feed the immune system and make you more resilient to stress.
Combine this recipe with some vegetable side dishes such as the cauliflower mashed potatoes and the garlic herb green beans. I love added some tasty Dijon mustard to my burgers for more immune and digestive support and the great mustard flavor.

How do I treat this? I am 63 and on a limited fixed income and unable to work full time.
